Principal components analysis is a means of selectively extracting information from a hyperspectral image in such a way that a minimal amount of data contains the most important information in the image. For example, a hyperspectral image containing hundreds of bands hundreds of bands can be reduced to a dozen or so bands which contain 99 percent of the information in the image. These new bands are a combination of all of the image bands in different proportions, with the proportions given by the “eigenvectors”. The general name for this sort of technique is “orthogonal subspace projection”.

Whether you are in resource planning and management: whether in Forestry; Agriculture; Environment, Land Management and Conservation, Geoscience or Mineral , Drainage and Irrigation,  or you are the authority developing development corridors we can help you through.

We help you equipped with an integrated technology platform across operations, help increase operational efficiencies and support your development strategies .

We bring in more a total of more than five decades of experiences in airborne, underground survey, gps surveys, forest survey and inventory, GIS, remote sensing, National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and extensive web application development.

Our airborne system is among the best configured technology available today, carefully selected from what science today can offer which allows capabilities to :-

1. Deliver very elaborate and precise Digital Surface Model. We collect 40 points per square meter of area surveyed, collecting the X, Y and Z coordinates.

2. Deliver ground level DEM data of the earth surface by stripping of the tree canopies and vegetative cover while  achieving accuracies of better than 10 cm.

3. Deliver Orthophoto Imagery mosaic at resolutions of better than 10cm pixel size taken from height of as high as 2 km from above, made achievable by a 80+ pixel digital camera system.

4. Deliver Thermal Maps configured to detect 0.02 degrees kelvin in 14 bit

5. Deliver Hyperspectral Maps, capturing spectral signatures of 400nm – 2500nm, 160-256 band of 3.5-5.0nm achieving spatial resolution of 20-40cm for vegetative, water resource, environmental and surface geology.

6. Discrete airborne precise mapping for hostile areas.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM ALDIS

1. For road, transportation and utility engineers, planners and designers. In designing road, highway, railway, transmission lines, tower spotting, proven to be extremely useful and very cost efficient.

2. For military and security purposes

3. For volumetric design and analysis in fields like mining, dam design, disaster mitigation due to dam breaks, landslide, flood study etc.

4. For producing real terrain precission mapping, to produce precise topographical maps beneath the vegetative cover. Able to produce accurate topo contours of 0.5m decribing detailed fetaures of the surface.

5. Feature analysis using 3D capability in boundary determination, suitable even for the purpose of international boundary determination.

6. 3D Topographical model suitable to be drapped with land use, surface soil tape, tree types, tree health and yield potentials plus all other GIS layers.

7. Suitable for precision agriculture.

8. Tree top hyperspectral signature for species identification.

9. Building top temperature mapping for scientific and energy saving studies.

10. Polution detection and environmental mapping on land and water.

11. Building footprint and 3D model construction in urban areas for precise for creation of very detailed VR models.

12. Coastal monitoring and erosion study mapping.

13. Slope monitoring and detailed slope mapping, to study soil and vegetative cover for erosion risks and mitigation by using oblique technique to achieve highest topographical detail.

14. Aerial imagery orthophoto for GIS needs.

15. For Air Traffic Planning data needs.

16. Transmission line mapping, that can even map sagging.

17. Standing tree counts and inventory.

18 Carbon footprint impact studies.

19. Precision Forestry and National Forestry Inventory.

ALDIS promises a comprehensive solution to meet the topographic and scientific data needs to feed the GIS and engineering demands of today using our latest assembly of sensors. Achieving very high accuracy capture of information and processing , design and analysis in most fields and disciplines in science and engineering would no longer be a dream.
